Following the unprecedented popularity of the art deco inspired Mimosa, Cecelia’s design centres around a trio of teardrop shaped straps in metallic gold leather, which meet elegantly in the centre of the foot. We spent a lot of time perfecting the pattern to make these straps protrude slightly above the pearlised leather upper, so that the shoe has a strappy look whilst giving all the support of a full shoe.
This idea is echoed at the back of the shoe, which consists of a simple curved back part in pearlised ivory leather. Onto this an elongated teardrop shaped strap in metallic gold leather is appliqued, leading into a simple strap which secures comfortably over the foot with a small oval shaped buckle.
